Vodafone has agreed a deal with Warner Music that makes it the first global mobile network operator to offer music from all four major labels DRM-free for download over the air. 

DRM-free downloads are currently available to Vodafone customers in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece and Ireland, with more countries set to follow.

DRM-freie Musik auf microSD-Cards

Die vier großen Plattenfirmen Universal, Sony, EMI und Warner wollen zusammen mit SanDisk ein neues physisches Musikformat etablieren. SlotMusic kommt in Form von microSD-Karten daher und enthält DRM-freie Musik in qualitativ hochwertigen MP3-Dateien. Ab Oktober 2008 soll SlotMusic zunächst in den USA in die Läden kommen, später dann auch in Europa.
